I have been eating and eating a lot but I noticed a lot of food is really unhealthy or very fatty. Does anyone has any truly good recipes, that's tasty, full of flavor, and healthy all the way?

no cheese, eggs, butter, too much oil, and so forth, and I am really not looking for salads or anything really only vegetarian. but, I've noticed something, my diet has been too unhealthy and a lot of things I've seen cooked in terms of recipe here could potentially be kind of fatty. I want to eat good food, have it be fflavorful, but know that something truly healthy is going in to my system.

What I do to make recipies more healthy is use things like whole wheat pasta, non fat milk, and lower fat cheeses. I've found that alot of my old favorites can be a little healthyer just by using things like that. I've been eating a lot healthyer over the last few years but I don't think I eat many different foods. I just give more thought about what I put in my dishes and I don't go out to eat nearly as often as I used too.

We have a great site over here called taste.com.au but there'd be a thousand iquivallents over there. Google is your friend. :)

Make sure that no matter how you cook your meals, they're well seasoned. Many spices are actually quite healthy, and will put a lot of flavor into your food. go for fresh herbs rather than the powders whenever possible. using lighter cooking oils will help somewhat, but won't sacrifice much flavor in the process. and make sure that the oil you use has 0 trans-fats. there is nothing remotely healthy about trans-fats. don't get sucked in by a lot of the health gimmicks out there that say you can get a whole meal in one drink, or one granola bar, but with less fat, or less sugar. Though this may be true, those things are usually full of artificial ingredients that will only hurt you worse in the long run.

when you do treat yourself to a greasy burger, or something of the like, try drinking some water or tea before you eat it. You'll be a lot less likely to overstuff yourself that way.

Salads do not have to be boring there is so much you can do with a salad to make it flavorful and different.

Consider the paleolithic methods, like your ancestors for most of human history, where they had very few grains but a lot of meat and veggies.
I'd start by reading off the BeyondVeg.com website.
It's not a fad and never will be, self-reliant things generally aren't. But most important think for yourself and do your own research, especially now since we blind bats aren't limited anymore like we were in the 80s or early 90s.
Most of all we're an omnivorous species not evolved to live on just one thing.

to really get the lowdown on what is good to eat, I'd recommend reading the excellent book in defense of food. it is on bard, library of congress, and will give you a whole new view which is full of commonsense. also there is a great new dvd out ther called forks over knives. excellent to watch.
